EnsembleHub only uses cookies and local storage that are needed to make the site work and keep it secure. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels. Below you can read exactly what we place and why.
We set two functional cookies. `ensemblehub_locale` remembers your language choice (NL or EN) and is valid for 1 year. `ensemblehub_session` keeps you signed in during an active workspace session; this cookie is httpOnly and expires after 30 days. Both are essential for the app to work and cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
If you set the light/dark theme, we store that choice in the `eh_theme` cookie (valid for 1 year) and in your browser's local storage under the same name. This is purely a display preference: nothing is tracked with it and the data is not shared.
We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) for two things: `cookie-notice-dismissed` remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, and the theme preference above. Local storage stays on your own device, is never sent to our server, and contains no tracking.
On forms (account setup and support) we use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out bots and spam. Turnstile may place its own cookie or local storage to tell valid visitors apart from automated traffic. It is a security measure, not an advertising or tracking technology. See the privacy policy for the related data processing and transfers.
We measure visitor statistics with Matomo on our own server (Hetzner, Germany). Matomo is configured to be cookieless: no analytics cookie is placed and IP addresses are anonymised. No data is shared with external parties.
We do not place marketing cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers. You can always manage or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Clearing the functional cookies means you will need to sign in again and choose your language preference again. Read more about how we process data in the privacy policy.
